Green Tea Cider Refresher

Green Tea Cider Refresher
    MAKES 8 SERVINGS

Researchers have linked green tea to a multitude of health benefits, from preventing cancer and lowering cholesterol to relieving the symptoms of arthritis. Green tea contains more antioxidants than other types of tea, which may account for its healthful properties. But the best reason for drinking it is its refreshing flavor.

The apple cider vinegar may seem like a strange addition to this iced tea recipe, but it is an easy way to incorporate a kitchen staple that may help reduce blood glucose. It tastes similar to adding lemon juice to your tea.

2   teaspoons olive oil

8 green tea bags

4   cups boiling water

4   cups cold water

1   tablespoon no-sugar-added apple cider vinegar

1   cup stevia granulated sweetener

Place the tea bags in a 4-quart pitcher and add the boiling water. Cover and let steep for 5 minutes. Stir in the cold water, vinegar, and stevia, stirring to dissolve the stevia. Serve over ice.
