The Kitchen Diva’s Seasoning Mix

The Kitchen Diva’s Seasoning Mix
    MAKES   ABOUT 2  CUP

I created this seasoning mix so I could infuse my recipes with more flavor while monitoring the salt content. Combining the spices yourself provides you with control over the amount, freshness, and types used. And having a prepared spice blend saves time when cooking. This mix, which is easily multiplied, can be used in most of the savory recipes in this cookbook, especially if the recipe calls for just salt and pepper. It’s delicious on chicken, fish, pork, and vegetables.

1   cup sea salt

1   (6-ounce) container garlic powder

1   (6-ounce) container onion powder

½cup freshly ground black pepper

1   (.65 ounce) container poultry seasoning

1   tablespoon stevia granulated sweetener

1   teaspoon plain or Hungarian sweet paprika

¼   teaspoon ground cloves

¼   teaspoon cayenne pepper

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Taste a small amount to determine if the ingredients are balanced and flavorful, and adjust as necessary.

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
